I feel special!

So, a while back, when I first got into this gig, I sent an Email to Omega, the boar brush company, asking for information about their brushes, and wondering about how to get a brush "for review purposes" (hey, I was new!). Looki what they sent me!

I got what has to be their ENTIRE sales catalogue, with posters, brochures, sales info...all their professional brochures! It's nice, in that old-fashioned Italian barbershop kind of way. And, of course, I found something I want. Several somethings, in fact...

So, Thanks Omega! And well done, I'm gonna buy!

  1. Love the Plisson brass handle, waited 10 months for Atkinson's of Vancouver to receive it. It was a size 10, so a little less common than a size 12 or 14. The people at Atkinson's are good people, great service, very kind and understanding. Overall underwhelmed by the Plisson experience. More of a show piece for the display case than a solid daily user.

  2. Ooops, some how lost the first half of my comment above.

I ordered an Omega 599 and 615 from Gio. Awesome mini travel brushes, snow white silvertip's to boot. Actually whiter than my Plisson european white size 10 brass handle. Over a 6 week period my Plisson has lost 6 or 7 hairs. My Omega's have lost 3 between the both of them over a 4 month period!!! Tough little suckers, that are also softer than the Plisson. One of the best bang for buck brush's around.

I shave my head as well as my face, so I get a lot of use out of my badger's

  3. I'm glad the badger works for you! They don't get much badger love--but the boars are something else.

I really love Omega style. I know they're kind of a big, faceless corporation while companies like Shavemac or Simpsons are people you can actually contact and talk to, but they do make good brushes, and man, how cheap can you get?
